Gerrards Cross jumble sale was a great success, attracting 1,500 guests and raising a whopping £33,000.
Taking place on September 29 and 30, the sale was held both inside Gerrards Cross Memorial Hall and in large marquees outside.
Selling a range of clothes, toys, household items, furniture, shoes, handbags and more, the sale also hosted a specials stall selling new and designer items, which raised £4,000 this year.
The funds raised will go towards the upkeep of the hall, which costs thousands of pounds annually.
Chris Edgerton, who has helped to organise the sale for more than 40 years, says it is a special and unique event, but fears its decline.
She said: “The number of volunteers has been steadily dwindling as people become too elderly and immobile and aren’t replaced by younger residents. The jumble sale helps to keep the memorial centre going and is a lovely community event.”
