St. John’s Infant & Nursery School’s Parent and Friends Association (PFA) are looking for volunteers to help with their Christmas Fair on Friday, December 6.
The PFA is looking for support with running the event between 3.30;pm and 5.30pm, by sponsoring a stall or buying a page in their virtual brochure. Funds raised will be used to buy new iPads, Chromebooks and computers for the school.
Chair of the PFA Daniela Maqbool told Radlett News: “We’re trying our best to bring new volunteers to the team; without parents, we can’t run the events.
“When you see the children’s faces, they’re so happy, so it’s worth it.”
Vice chair Nicole Jones and Taylor Ellis have also been key parts of the committee.
There are already three stalls confirmed for the event, selling jewellery, candles and personalised items.
There will also be an inflatable grotto at the event, making use of a shelter outside which the PFA successfully fundraised for last year.
The event is expected to raise around £2,500 for the school, and the PFA tends makes around £10,000 a year.
