Amersham Town FC (ATFC) have put the finishing touches on its clubhouse refurbishment with the installation of a new state-of-the-art kitchen.
Earlier in the year, builders’ merchant Buildbase chose ATFC as one of 10 non-league clubs to receive £100,000 worth of building supplies to improve their facilities.
The football club held a reception to thank all those involved in supplying and fitting their new £10,000 kitchen.
Chairman of ATFC Simon Damery explained: “This could not have come at a better time.
“We had completely rebuilt and refurbished our clubhouse, but the one item which we could not afford was the replacement of our kitchen. It was worn out and badly needed renewal.”
Simon was supported by the Mayor of Amersham, councillor Mark Roberts.
He recalled: “It was a year ago that I opened the new clubhouse. It was in fact the first ribbon which I cut as mayor. It is now so encouraging to see, 12 months later, that the last piece of the jigsaw is in place.”
