Students across Garston have been celebrating after achieving excellent A Level results last month.

At St Michael’s Catholic High School, all students who applied to university have been successful in gaining a place, with the overwhelming majority achieving grades guaranteeing them a place at their first choice university.

Almost every student studying A Levels attained grades between A* and C.

Headteacher Edward Conway said: “We are delighted with the excellent A Level and BTEC results achieved by our students that demonstrate their outstanding effort over the past two years. They have all been amazing and deserve their success. We are very proud of them and wish them happiness and success in their futures.

“Furthermore, we are grateful to our excellent staff for their continued effort and dedication. Without our brilliant teachers and support staff, these outstanding results would not have been possible.”

Meanwhile, at Parmiter’s School, 71 per cent of all grades were between A* and B, allowing the majority of students to secure their first choice of apprenticeship or university.
