Emergency services rushed to a road accident in Kings Langley last month.
A fire engine from Kings Langley Station and paramedics were called to Coniston Road in the village in the evening of July 22 after reports of a two-vehicle collision on Coniston Road.
When they arrived at the scene, firefighters discovered that no persons were trapped and they quickly moved to make the area safe. Three people were taken to hospital by the East of England Ambulance Service.
One car was hit head on and the other sideways. Airbags had been inflated. There was either petrol or water on the road which had been treated with sand.
The police directed traffic from the Red Lion up Rucklers Lane and from the village directed up Coniston Road.
Local people were waiting up to an hour before people realised they had to reverse as far as the Delta Force to allow cars to pass.
The accident was picked up on social media.
Barry Webster tweeted: “RTC in Kings Langley This evening, all persons involved ok.”
