Croxley Tennis Club have announced the appointment of their new junior programme head coach, Samuel Ranger.
At recent Meet the Coach sessions, Samuel told young players that he first started playing tennis aged only four years old after a coach visited his school. He competed until the age of 16, representing Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire and even winning a county championship along the way.
However, tennis isn’t Samuel’s only passion.
He explained: “I graduated with a BA in Acting and I have appeared on ITV and at many London theatres, plus, rumour has it, in several embarrassing adverts!”
Speaking of his approach to coaching, Samuel added: “I believe tennis lessons should be both engaging and challenging, ensuring improvement while maintaining the fun. I can’t wait to meet you all and get started!”
