A collective supporting local artists and creatives is being launched in Bushey.
Married couple and longtime Bushey residents Dene and Ria are artists and crafters who run Millie Moo Designs, a business which sells gifts produced at their studio in the town.
Having showcased their work in collectives and pop-ups for several years, the couple always harboured the dream of opening one of their own. After approaching Mavis, a local haberdasher’s which has been a staple of Bushey High Street for 85 years, the owners agreed to rent part of the shop to the couple.
Dene and Ria will open the collective, Milly Moo Designs and Friends, on Tuesday, March 5, and will host the work of other local businesses alongside their own.
Ria said: “We know how hard it is, so we want to encourage small, local businesses and help support Bushey High Street. We hope to foster a network of artists and become a real asset to the community.”
Twenty businesses have already signed up. If you are interested in selling your work in the collective, email info@milliemoodesigns.co.uk
