Chorleywood Bookshop have hosted celebrities recently including Ruby Wax, as she launched her recent book which focuses on mental well-being.
The bookshop regularly host authors who come in to discuss their recent releases and delve into the though process behind the narrative.
Bestselling author and mental health advocate Ruby Wax and Tibetan monk Gelong Thubten were the special guests 2 February for an evening of reflection.
Ruby and Gelong were promoting their new book How to be Human with the sold out event had the audience laughing and readily taking notes, with everything from mental health, mindfulness, depression, anxiety, education, switching off from our chaotic world and teenagers discussed.
Earlier that week, authoer Melissa Hemsley was a guest to launch delectable new book Eat Happy.. Delicious recipes from the book were brought to life for all to try, including the happiness balls and the quinoa, pomegranate, chickpea and halloumi salad – which was a hit with the audience.
Kira Gibson, from Chorleywood Bookshop said: “We are so lucky to get so many great authors join us, and the audience turnouts are always very good.

Upcoming events includes a guest appearance from Lis Earle, one of the world’s most respected and trusted authorities on wellbeing, on 6 March at 7.30pm.
