Published on: 1st March 2024   |   By: Bryn Holmes   |   Category: Uncategorized

Though Chorleywood Parish Council (CPC) has announced that there will be no increase in residents’ council tax on their part, Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) has announced a 4.99 increase.

After agreeing on a fiscal plan for the 2024/25 financial year, CPC stated that there will be no change to the amount of the tax that funds its operation and the services it provides.

However, Chorleywood residents will stay pay more in council tax as HCC has announced an increase in council tax of 4.99 per cent for 2024/25.

Other proposals included in HCC’s budget are an increase in spending from £98million to £1.1billion.
