A young Tottenham Hotspur fan from Rickmansworth saw his dreams come true recently when he walked out alongside his favourite team in their recent Premier League football game.
According to his dad Mitesh, Yadav Sood, 11, has been a Spurs fan since he was baby; he was only 39 days old when his parents registered him as a member of the club.
Since then, he’s been on the waiting list to be a mascot for a match, and was finally selected for Tottenham’s home fixture against Liverpool on Sunday, November 6.
Yadav met manager Antonio Conte, England captain Harry Kane and World Cup winner Hugo Lloris. Even the fact that Tottenham lost 2-1 couldn’t dampen the brilliant day.
Yadav said: “I was so excited, and it was dream come true. I was so lucky to walk onto the pitch with Wales international Ben Davies and I was able to meet the Liverpool team.
“The whole experience was so surreal and something I will remember forever, walking on to a pitch in front of more 62,000 roaring fans, with all the noise and excitement. I got to touch the pitch too!”
Mitesh added: “It was an amazing and magical day. Yadav has waited almost 12 years before being selected. The club really looked after us and did so much for to make the day so memorable for Yadav.”
