A man has been rushed to hospital with stab wounds following a large brawl in Watford town centre.
Police were alerted to an ‘altercation’ at 10.55pm last night (August 10) which involved a group of people on Market Street.
The victim’s injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, but he was taken to hospital as officers and the ambulance service attended the scene.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Police confirmed a man has been arrested and remains in police custody as of today (Aug 11).
Officers remain in the area today as enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
Police have asked for information to be reported online or by calling 101. Anonymous reports can be made via the Crimestoppers charity.
Market Street was closed overnight between Francis Road and Percy Road, with motorists advised to avoid the area.
