Two local kids have made it onto the Amazon bestseller list with their book about a kid’s view on the natural world.
Onkaar and Avneet Nijjer, aged 10 and 8 respectively, wrote and published the book and e-book ‘A Kid’s View on Nature’ in November of last year, and have gained a best-seller rank from the online marketplace.
The two, who work with local environmental group Sustainable Three Rivers (S3R) to help raise awareness of the importance of biodiversity, are deservedly proud of their work, which is an interactive novel that teaches kids fun activities to help them get in touch with nature.
Speaking about the book, Onkaar said: “We want to help young people connect with nature and see their world differently. Be thankful for everything around us and let nature shine into your life!”
Avneet added: “It will help you to discover the beauty and magic around you and inside you!”
The two budding environmentalists have also been spending time fundraising for various nature-based charities, such as The Wildlife Trust.
