A large fire has taken over the M25 near Radlett Road this morning as roads have been closed to battle it.
Large heaps of smoke have been seen lining the air above Ventura Park in Colney Street, as well as an air ambulance in the skies – as Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue were first called at 9.21am.
Ten fire engines and an aerial ladder platform are at the scene, as the force have introduced road closures in place at the location and on the M25.
Deputy Chief Fire Officer Mark Barber said: “I would like to reassure residents that firefighters are working hard to bring the situation under control. As a precaution, we are asking people living nearby to keep their doors and windows closed and to avoid the area while emergency services continue to deal with the incident.
“I would like to thank the public for their patience, understanding and cooperation. Please continue to follow our advice and avoid the area to allow emergency crews to work safely and effectively.”
No injuries or fatalities have been reported as of yet.
The business park affected is located next to junctions 21A and 22 of the motorway.
