A popular chain has confirmed the opening of a new restaurant in Garston.
Wagamama confirmed that a new restaurant will open in the former Frankie & Benny’s unit at Woodside Leisure Park as part of their plans for nine new restaurants across the country.
In total, Wagamama say their new restaurants will create 500 new jobs. Further branches are set to open in Wolverhampton, Glasgow, Epsom, Doncaster and Chatham this year.
Chief executive Thomas Heier said that 2023 had been an “exciting year”.
He said: “Our teams have done an excellent job in continuing to elevate our guest experience and we very much look forward to welcoming more guests to our benches as we head into 2024.”
The chain has not yet confirmed when the Garston branch will open, but some local residents have already welcomed the new addition.
Garston resident Nadine Goodwin said: “I really like Wagamama so I’m pleased and it’s also good to see an empty unit filled.”
