Two women were given a makeover at a Hatch End salon after dropping plenty of pounds in a sponsored weight loss challenge.
Staff at HOB Salons in Hatch End provided their services to two of the women who took part in Michael Sobell Hospice’s Pounds Off Pounds In challenge. In January the hospice started a 12-week sponsored weight-loss event. Participants were weighed weekly and given either nutritional advice or some form of exercise challenge to help them with their weight loss. The participant who lost the most weight – 22lbs – was hospice trustee Eddie O’Sullivan. Ellis Lance who works at Mount Vernon Hospital raised the most money £550. As a reward for their efforts the pair was invited to HOB Salons in Hatch End for a well-deserved makeover. Eddie kindly donated his makeover to Alison Whittall, headteacher at Hyde Heath Infant School in Amersham who lost 16 lbs in the challenge.
Chloe Rumball, Salon Manager at HOB Salons said: “We often take part in charity fundraisers by donating raffle prizes or holding our own raffles and cake sales but this was a really nice way to give back to those who have dedicated their time to raise money and with their weight loss, complete the journey to making them look and feel fabulous, whilst all being for a great cause.”
