The Abbots Langley Carnival saw another successful event despite the un-decisive weather. More than 4,000 people flocked to the 32nd carnival on June 14 to enjoy the community fair. Despite fears over the lack of floats, a bright and colourful parade brightened up Abbots Langley as they travelled through the streets from School Mead to the High Street. The carnival goers were wowed by the stunts from the mountain bike display team, Team M.A.D. There were also performances from locals dance groups Aviv and Hot and Bothers, with musical entertainment from the Abbots Langley School Choir and the Harpenden Pipe Band.
There was also a record number of charity, commercial and local stalls at the annual event.
All the money raised from the event will be getting given back to the Abbots Langley Community. Read more in the next issue of My Abbots News out next month.
