Three men have been found not guilty following an incident that forced a secondary school into a state of lockdown.
Three arrests were made at an address near to Rickmansworth School on October 12, 2022. The school took the decision to go into lockdown as a precautionary measure.
The situation arose after calls were made to police concerning the welfare of a man who had allegedly been forced into a vehicle and driven off.
The three arrested were Tijmal Saddique, 38, of Mildred Avenue, Watford; Junior Scarlett, 45, of Fortescue Road, Edgware; and Daniel Till, 47, of Scots Hill, Croxley Green.
Saddique had a number of convictions to his name, and had previously been sentenced to a six-and-a-half years in prison for attempted robbery and possession of a firearm in 2003.
All three men appeared at St Albans Crown Court on March 30, with the judge finding them not guilty of kidnapping.
