Berkhamsted were knocked out of the FA Trophy this afternoon (October 26) following a 3-1 defeat to Hornchurch.
The Comrades got off to the perfect start in the 12th minute thanks to Josh Chamberlain who opened the scoring.
However, the lead was short-lived as Hornchurch’s Charlie Stimpson netted twice in the 22nd and 32nd minute.
At half time the Urchins were leading 2-1.
In the second half, it was end to end action but it was the Essex side who came out on top as The Urchins nabbed a third goal following a Berkhamsted free-kick.
Marvin Morgan slotted home into an open net in the 90th minute.
Berkhamsted will need to focus their efforts in the Southern Central Division next Saturday (November 2) at home to Bedworth United who sit in mid table.
