A man who jumped out of a building window to escape police on Watford High Street was taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he currently remains.
At around 7pm on Thursday, June 11, two officers were battering down an apartment door, shouting for half an hour, before they eventually broke down the door. This is when the man proceeded to jump out of the apartment window, two storeys high.
Despite his efforts to flee the police, he ended up in a pool of his own blood and on the floor in pain, unable to run away.
The suspect is confirmed to have had bail conditions not to enter the address.
One resident said: “A woman who was walking past had to tell him to stay still and stop trying to get up.
“Half of the building was nearly out of their own windows trying to see what was going on!”

Police, ambulance, and fire and rescue teams attended the scene
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Police said: “At around 7pm yesterday (Thursday, June 11), officers were carrying out a welfare check at an address on The Parade, Watford.
“When officers arrived, a man who had bail conditions not to be at the address attempted to flee the area and fell from a height.
“He was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains at this time.”
