IN MEMORY: Croxley resident launches circuit class in honour of late mother-in-law

A personal trainer from Croxley has set up a Sunday circuits class to raise money for a charity close to the heart of her late mother-in-law.

Just under a month after being hospitalised with leukaemia, Sholée Parry’s mother-in-law passed away on Christmas Eve last year.

The much-missed grandmother had long supported the Karen Morris Memorial Trust, a charity providing accommodation for leukaemia patients and their families. It was in honour of her mother-in-law’s dedication to the trust that Sholée decided to continue raising funds for the charity.

Sholée said: “The final thing I said to my mother-in-law was that I would set up a class to raise money for the Karen Morris Memorial Trust. She was too sick to reply properly and could only respond to my message with an ‘xx’, but I think that it counts.”

Some months later, Sholée started renting a space on a Sunday and launched a circuit class. All proceeds from tickets minus rental costs will go towards the charity. The Croxley local has also dug into her own pockets to buy enough boxing gloves for everyone and to cover initial costs.

With 22 years of experience in circuit training, Sholée’s classes are aimed at women of all ages and fitness levels and each is tailored to the needs of participants.

Sessions last an hour and will resume after a summer break on Sunday, September 22, at Yorke Mead School. To find out more or buy a ticket for £6, email Sholée at active1stfh@gmail.com
