Detectives are appealing for witnesses, information and dashcam footage following a collision in Watford which led to two men being arrested.

Police were called at around 2.35pm on Wednesday, August 21, following a collision in the Asda multi-storey car park on St Albans Road.

It is reported that a Range Rover Evoque had collided with another vehicle. No injuries were reported.

The occupants of the car left the scene before police arrived. A search was carried out with the assistance of the police helicopter and two people were arrested.

Kawish Bhatti, aged 19, from Watford, was subsequently charged with failing to stop for police and dangerous driving. A man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle. He has since been released on police bail whilst enquiries continue.

Detective Constable George Lewin, who is investigating, said: “I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw what happened after the incident.

“I am also particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a grey Peugeot leave the area just after the collision.

“If you have a dash cam fitted and were in the area, please check your footage as you may have captured something important that could assist with our enquiries.”

Anyone with information can contact DC Lewin via email at george.lewin@herts.police.uk and quote crime reference 41/64433/24.
