IMPRESSIVE WIN: Berkhamsted put four past Didcot Town

Published on: 18th January 2020   |   By: News Desk   |   Category: Berkhamsted F.C

Berkhamsted FC impressed once again scoring four away from home against Didcot Town FC earlier today.

Goals from Toomey, a Lacey brace and an own goal boosted the away side into a four nil lead with two late goals from the home side ending the game 2-4.

Berko started well and found themselves ahead three minutes into the game after a fantastic finish from outside the box from Lacey.

20 minutes later and Berko’s luck continued with a calamitous error from a Didcot defender that made it two nil to the visitors.

The Comrades went into the break two nil up and continued their dominance early into the second 45.

Didcot players saw big appeals for a handball shout in the penalty box waved away by the referee on the 50th minute and nearly made it 1-2 but the shot went just wide.

Berko made it 4-0 in quick succession with Lacey grabbing his second of the game in the 60th minute and Toomey making it four three minutes later with a delightful finish.

That looked to be all for the fans in attendance but Didcot grabbed their first of the game in the 85 minute and made it two in the 92nd ending the game 2-4.

Another impressive performance for Berko who continued their fight for the title race.

They next play on the 25th against Wantage Town.
