Chalfont St Peter grabbed an away point against Barking FC this afternoon after holding the home side to a 2-2 draw.
A brace from Daniel Williams scored Chalfont’s two goals in a game which was feisty from the first minute.
The home side found themselves one nil up with seven minutes on the clock with a fine goal from Michael Dixon.
Chalfont St Peter started to grow into the game after putting Barking’s goal behind them.
The first half was a battle between both sides with two Barking players receiving yellow cards within the first 31 minutes.
Just before half time, Williams equalised after finishing his silky move off with a wonderful strike.
Chalfont were the better side in the second half and failed to convert two great chances to put their team ahead.
Chalfont’s pressure took its tole on the home side after a shot from outside the box was parried by the keeper straight into the path of Williams who finished well.
Two minutes later and Michael Dixon grabbed his second of the game from the penalty spot.
Barking nearly grabbed a late winner but a fantastic save from the Chalfont keeper saw the effort tipped onto the bar.
Both sides would be proud of the performances they put in today in a real challenging game which was end to end from start to finish.
CSP next play at home to Hanwell Town on Saturday the 25th.
