An HR company based in Hertsmere won their first major award at an event in Birmingham earlier this month. DOHR, run by Donna Obstfeld, picked up the prestigious award for “HR Consultancy of the Year award on February 3 at the HR Distinction Awards. Presented by media personality Claudia Winkleman, The HR Distinction Awards is an annual event held to celebrate the great work of people, teams and organisations within the HR field, and for the team at DOHR, this award is recognition for years of hard work. In the presence of over 400 HR professionals, the DOHR team were joined as nominees by such heavyweights as Asda, McDonald’s, Warburtons and DHL, and after a rigorous judging process, DOHR clinched what – in Ms Winkleman’s words – was a particularly important and impressive award. The criteria for HR Consultancy of the year was based on an organisation’s ability to truly “partner” with their clients and go “over and above” in terms of the impact they have. After having the award presented to her by senior vice president of McDonald’s Jez Langhorn, DOHR MD Donna Obstfeld was over the moon: She said: “I can’t quite describe how much this means to all of us here at DOHR. We’ve spent many years trying to make the workplace a better place to be in general, and this award recognises all of that hard work. “You won’t see us resting on our laurels after this though. If anything, it’s inspired us to be even better, win even more awards and help even more businesses.”
