Chalfont St Peter AFC were narrowly beaten yesterday afternoon at home against Ware, with a first half goal from Louis Rose being enough for the away side to take all three points.
The Saints’ disappointing start to the new campaign continued, with the side still searching for their first victory of the league campaign, losing all three games.
The only goal came after 25 minutes after Ware whipped in a corner into the crowded six-yard area, with Rose being the man to stab the ball home.
The Saints made two changes at half time, bringing on Romario Jonas and Kahlil Francis.
Any chance of a comeback was ruled out late on though when Riccardo Alexander-Greenaway was given a straight red card for a dangerous tackle on one of Ware’s players.
It’s another tough game at home in midweek against Barking next for the Saints, who just progressed to the next round of the FA Cup beating Kings Langley from the league above on penalties.
