WELCOME: New curate appointed at Christ Church in Chorleywood

Published on: 9th July 2021   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

The new curate at Christ Church in Chorleywood has a background as an opera singer, actress, leadership coach and charity CEO.

The Rev Nicolette Wolf, 45, will no doubt be putting her experience as a stage performer and communications coach to good use when she preaches from the pulpit.

Mrs Wolf, who has lived in Chorleywood with her family for five years, was until recently CEO of the BeMORE charity, which inspires young professionals to make a difference in the world by living philanthropically.

She said: “I love the people of Chorleywood, the sense of energy and the friendly community spirit here.”

Of her new role at Christ Church she said: “I hope to serve the community in all ways, helping people draw nearer to God and discover love, hope and purpose.”

During her stage career, Surrey-born Mrs Wolf performed in pantomime, in touring theatre companies and also did voiceover work.

Her favourite role was Sergeant Pickering in The Passing-Out Parade, a play about a group of young female recruits to the ATS (Auxiliary Territorial Service) during WWII.

After acting, Mrs Wolf used her performance skills to set up a communications consultancy, training  business leaders to ‘have an ambassadorial impact and presence.’

She studied theology at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford and completed her clergy training at St Mellitus College, London.

Mrs Wolf has a son and two daughters, all of whom are at school locally.

Her husband Phil works for a medical device company and is a keen  abstract artist.
