A local Scout group and a residents’ association have recently benefitted from funds raised at last year’s Kings Langley Carnival.
At a special presentation evening in December, members of the carnival’s committee gathered together to award funding to a variety of local groups with money raised at the event, which took place in June.
One group to benefit is the 1st Kings Langley Scout Group. The funding will help them upgrade their facilities, with new gates and a heating system for the clubhouse. The money will also contribute to their hardship fund, which provides access to Scouting activities to members who may otherwise have financial difficulty in taking part.
The committee has also provided funds to Kings Langley & District Residents’ Association, awarded for their work in preventing developments on the green belt in and around the village.
With this financial help, the residents’ association will now be able to access professional help in responding to any future Local Plans that propose building on the village’s green spaces.
