A leading musician who grew up in Watford and went to a Garston school has tragically passed away after being involved a plane crash with her husband and seven-month-old baby.
Hannah and Jonathan Goldstein and their baby daughter Saskia were killed in the crash in the Swiss Apls on Sunday, August 25.
The police have said that the family set off on Sunday morning from an airfield in Switzerland and was heading to Italy, but less than 90 minutes later it crashed above the Simplon pass area near the Italian border, according to the Associated Press report.
The Guardian reported that Mrs Goldstein, who went to Parmiter’s School, was a saxophonist who performed at venues including the Royal Albert Hall and Royal Festival Hall, and was a regular at the BBC Proms.
Her husband was the founder and creative director of the London music production agency, Goldstein Music Group.
A spokesperson for the family said: “We are all devastated by the news of Jonathan, Hannah and Saskia’s deaths.
“We loved them all so very much. They were so happy together and we will miss them terribly.
“We would ask the media to respect the family’s privacy at this extremely difficult time.”
