Avanti House Secondary School in Stanmore was pipped to the post in the final of the World’s Best School contest.
In October’s STANMORE&EDGWAREnews, we reported that Avanti House had made the final three in the T4 Education contest to be named one of the best schools in the world.
Unfortunately, they were beaten in the final of the Supporting Healthy Lives category on Thursday, October 24, by Istituto Galilei-Costa-Scarambone in Lecce, Italy.
Avanti House’s application centred around ethics, philosophy, yoga, and meditation classes.
The state Hindu school said on their Facebook page after the ceremony: “Congratulations to all the winning schools. We are grateful to have reached the final three in the Leading [Supporting] Healthy Lives category and thank our community for their amazing support throughout this competition.”
Applications are already open for next year’s awards, with a deadline of March 5, 2025.
