A Radlett estate agency has donated its spare office space to a homeless charity.
Susmans Estates, previously known as Aitchisons, freed up some office space following their rebranding and refurbishment. They chose to donate it to Help 4 the Homeless, who offer food and clothing to homeless people in Central London.
Radlett News spoke to Lloyd Gilmore, who runs the homeless charity with his wife, Shoshana.
He said: “We have been helping people in the West End for the last eight years by giving them food, drink, clothing, and everything else they need for an evening to keep going.
“We have been struggling to find space, so when this space became available, it was a bit of a lifeline. It gives us somewhere to pack the bags so we’re not packing them in the cold and the rain. We appreciate everything that Susmans have done for us.”
Speaking to Radlett News, William Susman, co-owner of Susmans Estates, said: “Natalie and I have lived locally for over 30 years, and we believe in giving back to the local community. We hope the accommodation in Susmans Estates will give space for storage and sorting, enabling the charity to expand their services and reach out to more people who are in desperate need of help and support.
“We are always happy to help community and charitable groups when we can and if you have a worthy local cause in need of support, we would be delighted to hear from you.”
