A Radlett church is appealing for volunteers to help support families in need through its hamper scheme.
Christ Church & St John’s (CCSJ) in Radlett is hoping more helpers will step forward to support the scheme, which was first set up during the COVID-19 pandemic to deliver a mix of non-perishable food and fresh food to families.
In the church’s leaflet on Sunday, February 9, they said: “The local hamper scheme provides meals for families in need in and around Radlett.
“Drivers are needed to support this work and make the deliveries, including lifting the trays of food into the car.”
Whilst deliveries are made weekly, CCSJ will welcome any availability that volunteers have to help deliver food.
The church also continued its work throughout February, with a Bible stories event for younger people on Sunday, January 19, and a Candlemas session to reaffirm baptism vows.
