GET INVOLVED: Charity for young people with disabilities seeks new trainer

Published on: 13th February 2022   |   By: Christina Pantelly   |   Category: Uncategorized

A charity that prepares young people with learning difficulties to be work-ready via an internship programme, run in partnership with Amersham College, is searching for a new part-time trainer.

Mission EmployAble is looking to expand its training team, which is currently situated in Chorleywood.

The organisation teaches young people with learning difficulties how to maximise their skills and assists them in finding paid employment.

The new trainer will assist the interns throughout their work placements and teach maths and English.

Cassandra Langham, training manager for Mission EmployAble, said: “This job is one of the most rewarding jobs imaginable because it makes a difference by providing otherwise non-existent opportunities to these deserving and talented young people. The training programme we offer is accredited by the Bucks College group and we expect applications for internships from Bucks students for next year, so it would be lovely to recruit a trainer from the area.”
