A pair of 19-year-old boys have been jailed for 27 months after being charged with committing arson with intent to endanger life.

Freddie Holt, of Winton Drive, Croxley, and Kane Pinnock, of Rickmansworth Road, Watford, were handed their sentences at St Albans Crown Court on Friday, April 26.

The incident for which the young men were charged took place at 1.15am on August 22, 2021, on Malvern Way.

A Hertfordshire Police spokesperson said: “Damage was reported to some windows, curtains and a chair.”

Charges were brought against the pair in December 2023. The young men pleaded guilty at St Albans Magistrates’ Court on March 12.

Due to the severity of the crime, the case was transferred to St Albans Crown Court, where a final verdict was heard.

Holt and Pinnock will serve their sentence in a young offenders’ institution.
