Residents have been voting for their favourite pub, restaurant, cafe and food producer in this year’s Enjoy St Albans Food and Drink Festival Awards.
The city’s 15th annual festival will take runs throughout September. One of the highlights is the St Albans ‘Feastival’, on Sunday 25 September, when the City Centre is closed to traffic from noon to 6pm.
One hundred and fifty food and drink businesses are competing across seven different categories throughout the prestigious festival. The top voted-for contestants in each category will now be judged on their product quality, customer service and atmosphere by the panel created by the festival’s steering committee. The awards will be announced in a ceremony on Monday, October 3.
Councillor Danny Clare, Lead Councillor for Events, said: “We are fortunate to have such an amazing range of pubs, restaurants, cafes, and other venues in the District.
“These awards give recognition to the businesses and individuals who have worked so hard to make St Albans such a wonderful place for dining”.
“They all deserve our support for battling through the many challenges of the pandemic.”
