Police are appealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage following a road traffic collision on the A41.
The collision occurred at around 4.10pm on Saturday, April 5 on the A41 (Otterspool Way) and involved a white Kia Stinger and a grey Volkswagen Polo.
A woman aged in her 40s, who was travelling in the Polo, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital by colleagues from the East of England Ambulance Service.
Two men, both aged in their 20s, who were in the Kia, have been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and theft of a motor vehicle, in connection with the collision.
One of the men has been released on conditional police bail, the other was later remanded due to an unrelated outstanding court warrant.
Detective Sergeant Craig Wheeler, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “Our enquiries are continuing, and I am appealing for anyone with information to please come forward.
“Did you see what happened, or witness anything before the collision? If you have dash cam footage that you believe could be helpful to our investigation, please upload this at: herts.police.uk/dashcamupload
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the public for their patience whilst we put road closures in place.”
Before the vehicle joined the A41, officers were conducting an authorised pursuit of the Kia Stinger. The constabulary has consequently submitted a referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
