Volunteers from Northwood’s Cancer Research shop wowed visitors and residents with their jaw dropping fashion show on the evening of March 26, raising a staggering £5,840. This glittering occasion with catwalk models, raffle and a live auction, was in celebration of the fashion show’s 20th anniversary. Driving force and glamorous compere, Urszula Gudiens, was delighted at the evening’s success. She said: “We feel that our show is Northwood’s answer to London Fashion Week! “We had an amazing collection of lovely clothes and accessories, modelled by real women (from sizes eight to 24) and three handsome male models, who brought humour and style to the occasion.” The evening began with a drinks reception and an opportunity to browse at beautifully presented market full of designer clothes, bags, hats and shoes, all offered at a fraction of their original price tag. The hustle and bustle created an electric atmosphere whilst visitors raised much-needed funds for vital research.
