A Croxley girl has won a special pumpkin carving competition organised by Three Rivers District Council (TRDC) to help get children in the area in the Halloween spirit this recent October.
Young Eva, who is aged seven, from Croxley Green and is in Year Three at the Royal Masonic School for Girls in Rickmansworth, won in the under-eights category.
Her spooky-looking pumpkin wowed the judges, with its well-carved teeth, creepy, bloody eyes and the fantastic finishing touch of a red rose held within its mouth.
Winner of the category for those aged between eight and sixteen was nine-year-old Miley from South Oxhey.
Now, a fantastic prize awaits both girls, as they and three guests each have been invited to the VIP night of Watersmeet Theatre’s upcoming Christmas pantomime Aladdin, on Friday, December 16.
There, they will watch the show live and even get a special opportunity to meet the cast.
The pumpkin carving contest’s judges were TRDC chair councillor Debbie Morris, and TRDC leader councillor Sarah Nelmes.
