Though the sun may still be shining, planning is already underway for Abbots Langley’s annual Autumn Fest event.
This year’s celebration will take place on School Mead from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, September 16.
Having been a part of the village calendar since 2015, residents visiting the festival can expect an array of local produce, drink and handcrafted items on offer, with previous editions of the event featuring locally made honey, houseplants, Italian desserts, jam, greetings cards and more.
Visitors can also enjoy live music and entertainment, a licensed bar, hot food , charity and community stalls, and fun games and activities for everybody to enjoy.
In the build-up to the day, children in the village are encouraged to make scarecrows, which will decorate the village, and local shops will be hosting the annual Apple Treasure Hunt.
