After predictions his team would finish in 17th place in the BetVictor Isthmian South Central Division, manager Finlay Johnson will be delighted after his team thrashed Ashford Town FC 4-0 away from home on the first day of the season.
After Dan Williams fired the visitors in front on 25 minutes after a counter attack, the Saints had to wait until 72 minutes when Luke Jones doubled their lead.
A third goal was added almost straight away when Andre Odetola turned the ball home from a goalmouth scramble and Riccardo Alexander-Greenaway fired home from the spot after 81 minutes.
Delighted fans took to social media after the win with Matthew Hutchinson summing up the mood on Twitter.
He tweeted: “Winning the quintuple this year (Berks and Bucks, Velocity, Fa Trophy, Fa Cup and the league).”
