A St Albans postie has released a charity calendar to support a men’s cancer charity providing crucial support to those living with cancer.
Mike Izzard, popularly known as Nast Hyde Halt Mike, has launched his 2022 calendar to support charity Orchid after the success of his 2021 calendar.
The calendar which includes photos starring Mike and his dog Baz at Nast Hyde Halt Station, will support the charity that funds research into the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of prostate, penile and testicular cancer.
Mike spoke to StAlbansNews about why he chose to support Orchid through the calendar.
He said: “I know quite a number of men who have been struck by cancer and I thought I would like to do something for them.
“It’s about trying to create as much awareness and educate men on the first tell-tale signs of cancer.
“It would be nice to support Orchid, who have supported the families going through this.”
The photos were taken by talented photographer Wendy Gill.
