This month, Hemelnews caught up with local resident Jack Stickings and his sons, who have crafted a new model of the latest Liverpool FC manager for charity.
Jack and his three sons Mason, Bobby and Tommy have transformed their garden into ‘Hemel Anfield’. Starting off as a way to cheer up his son, the garden has now become a passion project. The family has decorated the space with portraits of players new and old, iconic stands and even floodlights.
In light of Liverpool FC’s new manager taking over from Jürgen Klopp, the group has now crafted a nearly 6ft tall Arne Slot, made out of more than 120,000 Hama Beads.
Like their Klopp model, the group is using the creation to raise money for the LFC Foundation, a charity supporting deprived communities across Liverpool. The group charges fans to take a photo with their Slot model at Anfield, with the money raised then donated to the charity.
In a post on Facebook, the group said: “Our aim is to continue to support the LFC Foundation at games this campaign, continuing on from funds raised with our Jürgen Klopp artwork last season.
“If anyone can support the foundation, just £1 can make a significant difference to many!
“We look forward to taking the completed piece on home match days for a picture with you all for a small donation to the charity.”
