Chorleywood Common Football Club (CCFC) are celebrating their momentous County Cup win.
CCFC had great form heading into the final, having won 15 out of their previous 16 league and cup matches. The last hurdle came when they faced Chipperfield Reserves in the final in Letchworth on Friday, April 18.
The Chorleywood side secured a 3-0 win and lifted the Saturday Junior Cup.
The team are now set for promotion to Division 2 of the Men’s Herts Senior County League.
The club are also reflecting on their successful history so far, having launched the men’s adult team in 2021 to provide a pathway for young players to progress after their journey with the youth teams.
The team shared in the final programme: “Our ambition remains focused on building a sustainable, competitive set-up that gives young players every opportunity to progress from youth football to thrive at the senior level.”
CCFC are looking for new players and a kit sponsor for next season. Please contact Derek Bishop at derekbishop09@gmail.com to find out more.
