DENS are celebrating the success of their recent charity Gala Dinner at The Gatsby, Berkhamsted which grossed £18,000 towards helping rebuild the lives of vulnerable people in Dacorum.

The exclusive black-tie Parisian-themed evening included French cuisine, fine wine and wonderful jazz music by The David Mellor Concert Sextet featuring UK Sax Legend Alan Wakeman.

The evening was supported by The Ocado Foundation who as well as being headline sponsor, provide food to the charity on a weekly basis for all of their services.

Among the fantastic prizes auctioned off by Stephen Hearn from Tring Market Auctions, was a Five Star Champagne racing experience Courtesy of Solario Racing and a stunning Diamond Pendant donated by The Diamond Trust.

Fran Martin, Head of Fundraising at DENS said: “Thank you to everyone who contributed towards our Gala Dinner, it was a fabulous evening. All proceeds raised on the night will help to fund our integrated services including our 44-bed Hostel, Day Centre and Foodbank.

“Our next event is our Sponsored Sleepout on Friday, November 15 at The Hemel Hempstead School. We’re asking people to swap their cosy bed, do something amazing and experience rough sleeping for one night and we urge you all to consider it.”
