If you have knitting needles that are tucked away next to the brightly coloured wool you were given for Christmas, now is the time to pick them up as the Abbots Langley Knit and Natter Group invite new members to join their sessions.
The group meet on the first and third Tuesday of the month at Abbots Langley Library, which was the first Hertfordshire library to set up a Knit and Natter group in 2013.
The next Knit and Natter session will take place from 10am to 12pm on Tuesday, October 7, and the following session will be from 10am to 12pm on Tuesday, October 21.
Members gather together to enjoy socialising and learning different knitting techniques, as well as enjoying a delicious cup of tea.
Ingrid Allen, manager of libraries and heritage services, told ABBOTSnews: “Our group is open to all, beginners to experienced knitters or anyone who has any craft they are working on.
“We are a friendly group who help each other and enjoy a chat over a cuppa. Sessions are free and donations to the library are always welcome.”
