Fans showed their support at a special women’s charity match held to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK.
Members of the Chorleywood Women’s Recreational Football went head-to-head in a friendly but fiercely competitive game.
Two groups competed in the tournament: over 30s on one pitch and 18-plus on another.
Organisers Janice Sahin, Debbie Pearce, Ana Ingles and Monica Dowling said there was plenty of action on and off the pitch, as well as refreshments and a delicious cake sale.
The match, which took place at St Clement Danes School on Monday, September 7, brought the community together in the fight against cancer, with all proceeds going directly to the charity.
Speaking before the event, Janice said: “We are hoping our charity match will encourage others to get outside and be active – do something they enjoy, helping raise funds for charities. We also have a love of football, which brings us together and promotes good relationships, and ultimately have fun.”
