An exciting new artisan food market is coming to Amersham Old Town.

Together with Old Amersham Revitalisation Group and a local retail consortium, Amersham & Villages Community Board are excited to announce a food market celebrating and supporting local Chiltern-based businesses.

Located on the Broadway section of the High Street, the artisan food market runs every third Sunday of the month, starting from Sunday, April 17.

Over 20 food and drink stalls are expected on the opening day (more stalls are expected to come in the following months) which is open for visitors from 10am to 3pm. Free parking will be available in the Dovecote Car Park.

Visiting the food market, you can purchase and sample homemade jams, jellies, chutneys, sauces from a family run businesses, or feast on Spanish cooking, or many more culinary delights produced locally.

Chair of Amersham & Villages Community Board and Bucks Councillor, Mark Dormer said: “The new monthly Artisan Food & Drink market is a fantastic opportunity for people to support local Chiltern businesses while enjoying a wonderful afternoon in our historic town.”

Councillor Dormer was also keen to point out the importance of local credentials as the cornerstone to the market: “For the Community Board, it was crucial that the new food market had a special Chiltern footprint. We all know how tough the last two years have been for our local retailers, pubs and restaurants, by bringing a new regular artisan market to the Old Town we are helping to increase local footfall, whilst at the same time supporting Chiltern-based food producers.

“The new Old Amersham Artisan Market is going to be a fantastic addition to our town.”
