A priest at St Saviour’s Parish in Abbots Langley has urged people to go out and get the vaccine when they are offered to, after he received his own at Vicarage Road in Watford at the start of February.
Father Richard Mway-Zeng also particularly urged people from ethnic minorities like himself to take the jab.
In a video posted by Watford Borough Council on their Facebook page, Father Richard said: “I have just received my first jab of the Pfizer. I’m very happy and I just want to convey that positivity to the community and to encourage more people to accept the vaccination programme.
“This is the only light at the end of a long dark tunnel, and especially I would like to encourage people from the ethnic minority background like myself to come forward.
“Please stop listening to all that is said on social media. Come forward, come and receive the vaccine and get back to normality. Thank you.”
