A controlled explosion at Garston Station was carried out after a suspicious package was found at the premises.
The incident took place on November 25 at around 11.34am following reports of the package.
The area was cordoned off at both sides of the station and police were present at the scene.
Specialist officers also attended the controlled explosion.
Witnesses mentioned the presence of army vehicles when the incident was taking place.
A spokesperson from British Transport Police (BTP) said the incident was not deemed to be hazardous and that there was no risk to the public.
BTP are still investigating into it.
The incident also caused some disruption as trains into Garston stations were cancelled for the time being.
