A man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident in Bushey, where shots were fired towards an address and its occupants.
The incident happened in Woolmerdine Court at around 4.25pm on Sunday, September 15.
A number of police resources, including armed officers and the police helicopter, were deployed to locate the suspect, who made off on a Sur-Ron style electric bike.
Fortunately, no one reported any injuries.
Following a number of enquiries, officers arrested Almamie Jawara, 19, of Leveret Close, Watford. He was subsequently charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life on Thursday, September 26.
He appeared at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on September 28, where he was remanded into custody. Jawara is due to appear at St Albans Crown Court on Tuesday, October 29.
Detective Sergeant George Lewin, who is investigating, said: “This is believed to have been a targeted incident as part of an ongoing dispute. Residents deserve to feel safe in their community and I hope news of this charge provides reassurance that we take all incidents seriously and will respond appropriately.”
