A number of stolen vehicles have been recovered in Rickmansworth, following a warrant that was conducted last week.

On Tuesday, May 17, officers stopped a vehicle of interest in Uxbridge Road, which was found to be on false plates.

The driver, a man in his 30s, was arrested. The vehicle was seized, alongside the false plates and a mobile phone.

He has since been released under investigation.

Acting on intelligence, officers from our Operation Scorpion unit and the local Safer Neighbourhood Team then carried out a Section 8 warrant at around 8.20pm on Thursday, May 19, at The Orchards in Chalfont Lane.

They identified two vehicles, one of which was believed to have been stolen from Ireland, and another which was believed to have been stolen from Hemel Hempstead. Both vehicles were recovered by police.

Hertfordshire Constabulary are working alongside the Garda to progress the ongoing investigation.
